1st Shift Switcher

1st Shift Switcher No CDL Required Duties and responsibilities: 1.
Verifying preloaded trailers and seals them according to product height.
2.
Performing maintenance check sheets every day before shift begins 3.
Processing work order request for maintenance as dock problems are apparent.
4.
Processing yard pre loaded movement sheets and reports such to shipping and receiving department.
5.
Maintaining cleanliness of yard and/or lot and the switcher exterior and interior.
7.
Communicating AI trailer to shipping and receiving to maintain AI sheet.
8.
Utilizing the hand salt spreader to create safe walk pathways to and from the switcher during inclement weather.
9.
Checks both trailer doors when 6 to 8 feet from docks.
10.
Communicates issues and yard status to incoming switcher or different shifts.
11.
Ensures all fluids are checked & deficiencies reported to maintenance department daily.
