Route Driver

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Route Driver to join our team.
As a Route Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting individuals with developmental and/or physical disabilities from their residences to the program site and back again, and possibly to work as a "job coach" helping the individuals perform work tasks, etc.
This position requires excellent driving skills, strong communication abilities, as well as the ability to do some lifting.
Responsibilities: - Safely operate a company minivan to transport individuals to and from program.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely transportation routes.
- Provide exceptional customer service by interacting with program individuals in a professional and friendly manner.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of individuals safely in and out of the vehicle.
- Communicate any issues or delays to the appropriate parties - Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks - Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations - Maintain accurate transportation records and documentation Requirements: - Valid driver's license with a clean driving record - Proven experience as a route driver or in a similar role is helpful but not required.
- Excellent driving skills, including the ability to drive a larger van.
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members - Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including getting in and out of the vehicle to assist individuals.
